Canyon Drive
Shot in the oft-overlooked Kings Canyon National Park in California, this photograph captures the feeling of entering an environment shaped entirely by time and stone. It felt Mesozoic; the towering, rough canyon walls and remoteness of the park brought me to another era.
I’ll always be drawn to documenting places where natural formations dominate the views. Fortunately, our parks offer some of the best vistas and diverse landscapes in the world.

Morning by the Water
Taken during a road trip to Lake Powell, the tent framed the landscape like a natural window: calm water, layered cliffs in the distance, and soft clouds stretching across the sky. It was a quiet morning made for tea & writing.
This photo represents a theme I return to often; the contrast between comfort and wilderness, the stillness found in early hours, and how memorable the least active moments can be.

Light & shadow
Antelope Canyon is a geologic gift that the Navajo Nation kindly chose to share with visitors. It is a famously popular photography destination for good reason; the sculpted rock formations shaped by centuries of wind and water create the most otherworldly warm glow. I loved the organic interplay between shadow and color, smooth textures and lines.
My photos from this trip focused on how light transforms stone and how the simplest of materials can reveal unexpected beauty.
