While royal icing cookies may have been the pinnacle of my baking career, for a long time I provided simple, home-style or rustic desserts for gatherings and celebrations. The most gratifying part of being a baker is being a part of the spread on the table of life’s biggest occasions. I feel lucky every time someone asks me to bake for a wedding, a shower, or a birthday; through food we connect and build precious memories.
